Do you have a promising business idea? Your participation in the 4th Bernese Business Creation Competition will bring you one step closer to your own company! Qualifying in the first round will give you access to coaches, exclusive workshops and a valuable network. You will develop your idea into a business model and write your (first) business plan with professional support. The jury assesses the business plan and the best five teams/persons are given the opportunity to present their business model to the audience and jury at the BBCW award. The best three business models reaching the final round will be awarded prize money not exceeding a total amount of CHF 18,000.

SwissShrimp aims at being the first shrimp farm in Switzerland and being the first supplier to market fresh shrimps ‘made in Switzerland’. Production takes place in a salt water recirculating system, with the required heat coming from a nearby industrial plant.
With evidence of their achievement with their own business activities and public commitment, a prestigious jury of well-known personalities from the business community, independently assessed the business ideas and models of the participating teams. The jury assessed the quality and potential of the business idea or business model in both the first (elevator pitch) and second (BBCW award ceremony) evaluation rounds.
