The Entrepreneurship Center (EC) serves as a dialogue platform for students, doctoral students, postdocs, lecturers and professors from universities and colleges, company representatives with experience in research and development, entrepreneurial personalities and the general public. As part of the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Marketing and Business Management at the University of Bern, the Entrepreneurship Center actively promotes entrepreneurship through various initiatives at the interface between academia and business.
Entrepreneurship is diverse and so are the individual (young) entrepreneurs. However, these individuals are united by their desire to make the best use of their talent and resources. At the same time, they differ in their success in realizing this in their specific environment. We understand this environment as an overarching ecosystem in which we, as tertiary educational institutions and public institutions, also exert influence. We would like to use our knowledge and our ties with the business community to promote entrepreneurship through various offerings in the area of continuing education and outreach.
In the area of research, we are dedicated to the most current issues that are relevant to the entrepreneurship field and shape the international scientific dialogue. Research results are not only published at conferences and in scientific publications, but also flow directly into university teaching and practice-oriented training. More information about teaching and research in the Department of Entrepreneurship can be found here.
